Puratos India showcases innovative solutions for the baked goods industry

Puratos, one of the world’s largest bakery, patisserie and chocolate ingredients producer, held its Innovation Day recently, showcasing various innovative solutions for the baked goods industry, with applications based on prevailing consumer trends.
The program also included live patisserie and bakery application demos by Chefs and had guest speakers from the baked goods industry.
Puratos is focused on being innovation partners to its clients who are majors in the food service industry, artisan bakeries, patissiers, chocolatiers, retailers and many more.

Puratos also launched easy to use ingredients for the Indian market this year. For example, the ‘Deli Cheesecake mix’ [the first ever in India] - a ready to use egg free cheesecake mix that allows one to effortlessly produce a dessert that is otherwise quite challenging.

Taste of Kerala at Senses, Marriott Suites Pune

Pune's Marriott Suites will hold a special food festival Taste of Kerala at its Multi-Cuisine Restaurant ‘Senses’ between Friday, 16 September to Sunday 25 September (7 pm to 11 pm).
‘Taste of Kerala’ will bring forth the culinary expertise of the region, and is sure to take the foodies on a gastronomical voyage from cuisines of God's own country.
The Malabar Coastal state of India, Kerala is a haven of tranquil backwaters, serene beaches, exotic wildlife, lush mountains and a home to a unique and colorful cuisine. With dishes like Puttu or Kadala Curry, Kerala is certainly a food-lover's paradise.

Chef Tolien Varghese is coming to Pune straight from Kochi to explore the secrets of this traditional cuisine with its heartwarming dishes made in authentic hue and rich selection of ingredients, from the most loved cuisine of South India.
Chef Tolien said, “Kerala Cuisine is characterized by the use of coconut, chilies, curry leaves, mustard seeds, tamarind, asafetida and spices like black pepper, cloves, cinnamon. The cuisine has a multitude of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared by using poultry, meat and a thrilling variety of seafood.”
Kerala, a land of Spices has many exquisite dishes to offer. Chef Tolien will bring to foodies starters like Parippu wada, Ela ada in veg and Meen pollichathu or Kozhi kurumalugu in non-veg. A
Puttu
variety of Rasams ranging from Tomato, Prawns, Pepper, Parippu or Koszhi will also be prepared during this fest. Patrons can taste main courses like Kappa and fish curry, Karimeen Pollichathu, Kerla Paratha and Beef Fry, Mutton Masala or the most popular dish of the region Meen Moilee. Desserts such as Semiya Payasam, Ada Pradhaman, Carrot Payasam, Cherupayar Pradaman will also be available for the food lovers.
